Last night it snowed for the first time. Today the crane is in the yard pulling the boats and docks that are too big to handle with our yard equipment. You can see the snow in the Gatineau hills blending in with the fall colours of the trees.
Ottawa got a lot more sow than we did here in Dunrobin, it really didn't accummulate at all but it has been very cold all week long. If you have not winterized your boat by now, you could be asking for trouble. For outboard motors, it is usually not and issue to keep boating late into the season, but if you run a sterndrive, you need to get the water out of the engine before it is too late. This summer we replaced two engines that were not winterized in time.
